Peaceful and authentic, such is Le Bono. The former small fishing village and its picturesque harbor are worth a visit. Do not miss to admire the old suspension bridge designed by Gustave Eiffel. From up there you have a magnificent view of the Auray river.
In the hollow of the Auray river, between Vannes and Lorient in Morbihan, the cobbled streets and opulent houses of the small port of Saint-Goustan welcome walkers. With its maritime history, this city of art and history has managed to preserve its airs of yesteryear. The charming port is located at the bottom of the Auray river, a ria which flows into the waters of the Gulf of Morbihan.
Camellias, mimosas, palm trees, orange trees… grow there in profusion. Come and stroll out of season in the old town with its flowery streets and charming fishermen's houses. The island can be tamed on foot or by bicycle which can be rented at the landing stage. The ideal way to explore the Bois d'Amour, the hills covered with heather, to explore the large beach, the small strikes and the megaliths of the "pearl of the Gulf".
